Better Training was set up nearly 16yrs ago specifically to offer Maths and English skills to the Forces. For the last 10 years we have worked as a subcontractor to Abingdon and Witney College with great success. Enabling over 2500 military personnel to achieve maths and/or English qualifications.

Unfortunately the Government has slashed Adult funding leaving the college no choice but to massively cut our funding too. From teaching in recent years, up to 350 learners per year, limiting this year to only 150. From January 2026 we will no longer teach courses face to face, they will all be tutor led on Zoom. We will also only be teaching Functional skills by prior arrangement by Bases request. Please book on early as places will be limited.
